Cupcake Sprinkles card

Another card with a new stamp set (Cupcake Sprinkles) and a new paper (Daydream).

On to other things...

I'm definitely ready to start making things without a holiday theme for awhile. This is one of the stamp sets from the new catalog, "You Are Beautiful," available Jan. 1.

Judicial Building Card

I made these Christmas cards for the three judges I work for at the Iowa Judicial Building. I used a picture I took of the building, converted it to a line drawing, and then stamped the trees and added them to the front. It's hard to see on the pic, but there are little red dot ornaments on the trees and the wreath I added to the building.

Mini Calendar

Another little gift I made today...

Snow Day.....

No school for Nick today due to bad roads, so I'm home too. I used the day off to make some little gifts, including these decorated Tic Tac containers. You can't tell from the pic, but they are tied on with a ribbon along the right side. I don't know if she's the original artist or not, but I lifted the idea from a fellow CTMH consultant, Jennifer Woodbury. Note to all Iowa taxpayers: Because I am an honest state employee, I am using vacation time for today. :)

A couple things I worked on today...

Here's a couple of cards I made today. The red birthday card is from mostly Stampin' Up papers courtesy of Jen. I got the idea from a book Jess gave me for Christmas last year titled "10-Minute Cards to Give and Share." I made the other birthday card from part of an antique postcard. The photo isn't too good, but the postcard background is off white, and it is matted in baby pink that matches the flower and sassy strands. I think it turned out pretty nice.

In response to a suggeestion posted in the comment of my Nov. 16 baby boy card post, here's a picture of Jess outside Wrigley Field last summer, and also one of Nick from a couple months ago.

Holiday Stamping Workshop

As you can see by the pics, yesterday was my Holiday Workshop and it was a full house: Cheryl, Amy, Jean, Donna, Sandy, Sue, Jen, Linda, Jody, and Laura. I had a great time--exactly what I had envisioned for my studio. [Note: do not refer to your crafting space as a "craft room" because your family can too easily call it a "crap room."]

Thanks, Everyone, for coming over! I hope you all had a good time.

Baby Boy Gift Card

Wedding Card

Birthday "Gift" Card with Bows

Nontraditional Christmas Card

I liked the colors on the last card so much, that I made a holiday card with them.

Fancy Skirt Card

I've been making a lot of Christmas projects lately, so this was a fun deviation. All the products are CTMH. The skirt is made from the cut-up petals of Just Blooms flowers.

Upcoming Christmas Workshop

Next Saturday I'm hosting eight women for a Christmas workshop. Here are our projects:

Jen's Laugh & Learn Workshop

I went to Jen's monthly Laugh & Learn workshop yesterday morning, and we made three great projects. Notice how cute the pumpkin on the card is--it's made from oval punches with a little clip for a stem. Also, the accordion album is something I'm definitely going to make again. We also made a candle decorated for Thanksgiving, which I've already given to my mom to use Thanksgiving.

Jen is a Stampin' Up consultant--yes, a fierce rival to my CTMH business, but we manage to get along. :) Check out more of Jen's great artwork at her blog: http://jeniferj.livejournal.com/

Gathering Project

Some friends and a gathered in my studio last night for a party hosted by Laura. Here is the project we made. Two very simple cards and a magazine-type card holder. All the materials are Close to My Heart. (I'm an independent consultant with CTMH. Visit my official CTMH website at mollyrawls.myctmh.com.)

My First Post

Hi all! I started this blog to share some of my papercrafting. And, to force me to take photos of my work so I won't forget about the things I've made.
