A Few Cards

Vintage Card Elements

I made these cards weeks (months?) ago and just found them on my camera.  They were both made from vintage cards a friend gave me. I use a lot of antique postcards (early 1900s), but these are from more like the 1960s, which I guess is vintage now.

I fancy cut around the right edge of the picture and left the left edge squared, added some background paper and border (CTMH retired stash), and the three little stars. Done.

The centers of these cards--the little velum squares with the stork paper element on top are little gift tags from baby gifts. The originals were appropriate for a boy or girl, but I added pink paper on one and blue on the other to make both girl and boy cards. I attached the velum with brads and on one a safety pin (I don't recommend this--that's why it's only on the one). The brown square is cardstock. I used a dark color so the light colors on the velum would be more visible. The background papers, bird, and banner are from a Collage Art Stack from DCWV

Dig in your drawers and closets for your old cards and recycle them into something special!

Birthday Boy Card for H2H Challenge

I made this traffic-themed card for the H2H challenge sketch.  I used the CTMH stamp set Birthday Boy with cardstock (Black, White, Holiday Red, Sunny Yellow, and Topiary) and ribbon.  I colored the three little cars with my copics.  The cars are all raised with dimensional adhesive.

Birthday Boy Sailboat Card

I used the CTMH stamp set "Birthday Boy" and the "Animal Cookies" B&T paper for this top-fold birthday card.  Dimensional adhesive under the sales make them appear to "billow."  I used new CTMH mocha opaques on the boat and at the top of the mast.

Summer Birthday Cards

For this sailboat little boy birthday card, I used the stamp set Birthday Boy and Caboodle B&T papers with Sorbet and Buttercup CS.  The Tiny Tab at the top says "happy."  I added glitter in some of the circles of the Caboodle paper and the lettering, but it doesn't show up in the picture.
The duck on this card is from one of my favorite sets, Makin' Waves.  The fish are from Hook, Line, & Sinker, and the sentiment is from Fringed Phrases.  The Crystal Blue background CS was embossed in my cuttlebug, then sanded to show the CTMH white core.  Colors are Orange, Crystal Blue, Sweet Leaf, and Buttercup.  The fishes' eyes are tiny sparkles.
