Cricut Artbooking Birthday Layout

I finally tried my CTMH Artbooking Cricut cartridge for a layout.  I put this sample layout together very quickly and it was super simple.

The Artbooking cartridge has prepared layouts, and as long as you keep the size the same, everything fits together.  These photos don't do this layout justice--the background is actually a bright lime green, but it's showing up yellow with the camera flash.

I just did the bare minimum for this sample layout.  If I added photos, I'd do some more embellishment to match them.  I'm more of a hands-on, no plans scrapper, but to put layouts together quickly, I can see this would be an easy way for some really cute scrapbooks.

Ariana Wedding Card

This wedding/shower card was made with CTMH's "Ariana" paper pack.  The tiers of the cake are all stamped separately and are from CTMH's "The Happy Couple" stamp set.  I added the bow for a cake topper with coordinating ribbon to add dimension.
The mat around the cake is raised with dimensional adhesive.  I used CTMH's glitter gel to make the cake details sparkle.

Beach Chair Card

Using one of my favorite sayings again, I made this beachy card using all cardstock.  The beach chair and drink are dies from QuicKutz ("beach chair" and "coconut drink").

Balloon Ride Cards

I made this set of balloon cards using CTMH's new paper pack, "Balloon Ride" and the new coordinating stamp set, "Give a Lift."

I added a little bling to the center of the rosette on each balloon.

I colored the images with Copic markers and added a row of bling on each card.

The images were stamped on Colonial White cs, colored, then cut out.  I used dimensional adhesive to attach the balloons so they pop up from the cards.

I haven't added sentiments to the cards yet, because I think they could work for several different occasions, and I'll wait until I need one before finishing it.

Ariana Seattle/Volunteer Park Layout

***Two posts in one day!***
That noise you hear is my own horn blowing.  I'm pretty proud I'm actually blogging again.

This layout is from Tom's and my trip to Seattle in November for Jessy's birthday:

The picture is Tom and I at Volunteer Park. There were beautiful views of downtown, and that's the Space Needle in the distance, just left of my head.  The fall colors and reflections in the water reservoir were beautiful.

I used CTMH's new paper pack, Ariana exclusively for the layout.  I made the grey half circles along the right of the picture mat with a circle punch.  I hand lettered the text with CTMH's silver metallic marker and gave the letters some black highlights.  I also added some small CTMH black flourish sparkles.

Huntington Good Times in Galena Layout

No blog posts in March?  Seems accurate.  But, I'm back!  I made this layout with a picture I posted here last fall from my girls weekend in Galena, Illinois.

This is a one-page, one photo layout that summarizes the whole weekend: laughs, smiles, a little live music, and lots of empty glasses!  I used CTMH's Huntington papers, which colors complement the photo a little better in person--lots of browns and reds.  "Good Times" is stamped from CTMH's new alphabet stamp set "Marquee Uppercase" and cut out.
