Bunny Cards

The bunny on these cards is from the Bunny Love stamp set.  The colors are Sunny Yellow, Citrus Leaf, Ocean, and Watermelon.  The hibiscus is from Extreme Happiness, and the umbrella is from Springtime.  The sentiments are from So Sweet, Fringed Phrases, Bunny Love, and A Little Everything.
The white mats were all embossed with different cuttlebug folders.  The sparkle on each bunny's hat is Stickles.

Black & Blue

This card is made from white, black, and Indian Corn Blue cardstock and ink.  Stamp sets used are Floral Charms, From Me to You, Childhood Portrait, and Felicity.

Piece of Cake

I copied this card from one made by fellow CTMH consultant Christine Adams.  The stamp set is the February SOTM "Piece of Cake."  The colors are Hollyhock, Baby Pink, and Chocolate.  The background Hollyhock cardstock was embossed with my Cuttlebug then sanded.  The candles and the top of the cake plate are accented with Liquid Glass.

Vintage Vacation Scrapbook Page

I made this page to resemble a classic scrapbook from the early 1900s.  The background paper is from the CTMH Notebook B&T paper pack, and the paper across the bottom and in the right-hand corner are from Vintage Travel.  I printed the two photos in sepia to look more authentic.  The two postcards near the bottom of the page are actual early 1900s postcards.  The CTMH stamp sets used are:  Stocking Style ("Orange Beach, New Orleans"), Save the Date ("2010 Vacation"), Express Postage ("Enjoy the Journey"), Moments in Time (small January calendar), Make It Count (clock), Star Power (wings), and Vintage Post Card (postcard).

Margarita Night Birthday Card

This card reminds me of going out after work to celebrate a coworker's birthday with margaritas.  I've obviously never heard of "too many embellishments."  The paper that looks like a legal pad is made with the stamp set Comments, and the sentiment is from Fringed Phrases.  The margaritas are from SU.  Cheers!

Veranda Birthday Cards

Both of these cards use the new Veranda B&T papers, and both are loosely based on patterns from the Originals CTMH cardmaking book.
This one uses the retired Lovely Daisy stamp set.  The flowers and leaves were colored with a blending pen.

This flower is from the new So Sweet stamp set.  The blue flowers were paper pieced.

Long Winter Scrapbook Layout

Just in case we don't remember this awful, horrible, nasty Iowa winter, I scrapbooked it.  Most of the product used is CTMH.  The colors are Outdoor Denim and Buttercup.  The polka dot B&T paper is from the You Rock pack.  Stamp sets used are Today's Date, Feathery Flakes, and Chocolate Alphabet.
They're kind of hard to see, but pearls are scattered about, and the snowflakes and dripping snow border are accented with diamond Stickles.

Crumpled Paper Flowers

I've seen these paper flowers around on blogs for awhile and finally tried making a few:
Start with a scallop circle punch--any size--and punch out five shapes.

Then pierce or punch a whole through your stack of shapes.

Insert a brad to hold the five shapes together.  I used a tiny brad when I planned to cover it with a button and a large brad when the brad itself became the flower center.

Crumple separately every layer but the bottom one.  The more "crumply" the better.

Unfold, add any center you want, and it's done.

To make the flowers look a little more shabby and add some depth, I ink distressed the papers both before and after crumpling.  I used both newspaper and B&T papers.  Very Easy!  I made all three flowers in about fifteen minutes.

Nursery Bash Birthday Card

(4th post today)

The cute giraffe is from the Nursery bash stamp set, and the sentiment is from the Piece of Cake set.  The B&T paper is Animal Cookies.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Beautiful Things Masculine Birthday Card

The plaid paper is from the Back Country paper pack, and I used the stamp sets Beautiful Things (cat tails) and Piece of Cake (sentiment).  The design is based, very loosely, on the card on page 57 of the CTMH Spring 2010 Idea Book.

Butterfly Kiss and Treasure Life Sympathy Cards

These simple sympathy cards were made with the stamp sets Butterfly Kiss and Treasure Life.  The colors are cocoa and blush.  The B&T papers are Notebook and Unforgettable.
