Don't Forget Your Thank-Yous!

Even a simple handmade thank you is better than none!  I had to make a lot, so I kept them easy.  This is just a CTMH Whisper cs card with a punched and raised Outdoor Denim cs square stamped with a few snowflakes in CTMH White Daisy pigment ink.  Let's face it, most of our thank yous end up in the trash after the season anyway, right?  A well-written thank you note on the inside is the most important part of this card.

Polar Bear Holiday Thank You Card

Don't forget to say thank you for all those great gifts you received this Christmas!  I made some of these cute wintery looking thank you cards this weekend.  They work well for a Christmas thank you, but the theme is more winter, so it's not over the top for those of you (like ME), who are done with all the Christmas-themed decorations for another year.

I started by stamping the polka dots on to the card base with CTMH Grey Flannel ink (retired).
I used this background stamp from Inkadinkado--one of my favorite background images.

Next I cut the B&T paper from CTMH's "Frosted" paper pack.  I edged it with grey ink.
I punched a row of icicles across the top using a Martha Stewart punch (shown above) and added a row of frosty swirls from Recollections called "Glitter on a Roll."

Then I attached the B&T paper to the card base.  I used Scor-Tape, my favorite for cardmaking.

I stamped one of the polar bears from CTMH's stamp set "Polar Bear Holiday" onto White Daisy cs and colored it with Copics.
I've shown the colors I used in the photo above.  I like to outline my images with light grey.

I attached the polar bear with dimensional adhesive to make it pop up.  I added CTMH Stardust Glitter Gel to the icicles (shown half done in this photo) and a little iridescent bling to the bear's stocking hat.

On the inside, I added a simple "Thank You" so I have lots of room to write.
I used CTMH's retired stamp set "Fringed Phrases" (as you can tell, it's a well-used set).

Here's the finished card again:
I love the colors, and the stamp set would work great for any winter themed project.  It's not limited to just Christmas.  To order your own Polar Bear Holiday stamp set, or any of the other current CTMH products used in this project, shop HERE.

Buzz and Bumble Thank You Card

Someone I work with gave me some fresh honey last week, and I have all these "bee" papers and stamps, so I thought it would be fun to make a bee-themed thank you card.
I used b&t papers from CTMH's "Bee and Bumble" paper pack with CTMH Cocoa, Sunset, and Cashmere cs.
I random stamped bee from the "Bee and Bumble" Workshop on the Go stamp set on the Cocoa cs.  The little bee and his flight path on the lower right are from a zip strip on one of the papers.  I couldn't find a "thank you" sentiment stamp I wanted to use, so I free handed it.  All edges are distressed with brown ink.
I also added a piece of the bee b&t paper to the inside of the envelope.

I really like the honeycomb b&t paper, but I didn't end up using it on the front, so I added a panel to the inside of the card and another stamped bee.

Iowa Hawkeye Thank You Card

Jess & Neal needed a Hawkeye thank you card to send to some die-hard Iowa State fans who sent them an Iowa State themed graduation card, so I threw this together quickly.  The cs and stamp are CTMH, and the tiger hawks are from some old B&T papers I had in my stash.  Go Hawks!

December Word Puzzle Christmas Thank You

This simple thank-you card was made with the little trees of the CTMH "December Word Puzzle" stamp set.  The punched scalloped circle is raised on dimensional adhesive so it pops off the card base.  The bright green cs makes the Ruby ink and baker's twine really show up for a modern look.

Christmas Card: Wonderland WOTG

This time I used the stamp set from the "Wonderland" WOTG.  I paired it with CTMH's "Jingle" papers to make this cute thank you card.  The cup and the steam have Stardust Glitz highlights.  The card base is Slate cs.

Snow Flurries Thank You Card

Another easel card for an extra special holiday thank you.  I used one of my favorite winter stamps, CTMH's Snow Flurries and also a sentiment from the Thank You stamp set.  I used some adhesive sparkles for the centers of some of the snowflakes and added CTMH's glitter gel to some of the smaller ones.  The icycles are a MS punch.

Winter Thank You Card with Wonderland

I used the Wonderland Workshop on the Go papers and stampset Winter for this easel card.  It's a winter no-necessarily-Christmas themed card.  The "thank you" sentiment is from CTMH's "Thank You" stamp set.  The icycles are a MS punch, and I added CTMH Glitz glitter gel to them and the inside snowflake for a wintery look.

This picture, albeit a weird photo colorwise, shows the easel.

Some Random Cards

I made some random birthday, thank you, baby, and Christmas cards tonight.  here are a few of them.  They were all made with with miscellaneous supplies, and many were from "scrap candy" I had stamped, colored, and cut out that was sitting in a pile all ready to fasten to a card.

You're Sweet Thank You Card with Elemental

This card came together in minutes.  The papers are from CTMH's Elemental papers, and the apples and sentiment are from the stamp set "So Sweet."  The apples were inked with cranberry ink, then "kissed" with a newsprint stamp to make them a little more old fashioned looking.
The apples are raised with dimensional adhesive.  Everything is distressed with cocoa ink.

Jingle Thank You Cards

My last Christmas project is done!  My house is officially put back in order, and now I can put away my Christmas papers and stamps for another year.  This is a very simple thank you card using the CTMH Jingle paper pack and the stamp sets Tannenbaum (tree) and Annotations ("thank you").  The colors are CTMH's Tulip and Juniper.  The inner Tulip ink in the tree is second-generation stamping.

Graphic 45 Card

I just found out about the company Graphic 45 at Scrapfest.  I cut this image from a full sheet and added ribbon and a hinge for a simple thank you card.

Popcorn Card

I was away from work for two weeks, so I brought a huge bag of movie theater popcorn in to the office as a thank you to my coworkers for keeping my work done during my absence. I made this card to go with it. I used markers to color the popcorn stamp (different shades of yellow for the popcorn), and a little glitter on the popcorn to make it look oily and salty. I used a little liquid glass in the circle portion of the popcorn box.
