A Few Cards

Vintage Card Elements

I made these cards weeks (months?) ago and just found them on my camera.  They were both made from vintage cards a friend gave me. I use a lot of antique postcards (early 1900s), but these are from more like the 1960s, which I guess is vintage now.

I fancy cut around the right edge of the picture and left the left edge squared, added some background paper and border (CTMH retired stash), and the three little stars. Done.

The centers of these cards--the little velum squares with the stork paper element on top are little gift tags from baby gifts. The originals were appropriate for a boy or girl, but I added pink paper on one and blue on the other to make both girl and boy cards. I attached the velum with brads and on one a safety pin (I don't recommend this--that's why it's only on the one). The brown square is cardstock. I used a dark color so the light colors on the velum would be more visible. The background papers, bird, and banner are from a Collage Art Stack from DCWV

Dig in your drawers and closets for your old cards and recycle them into something special!

Baby Mini Album with CTMH Cricut Artbooking Cartridge

I made this cute mini baby album almost exclusively with the new Cricut Artbooking cartridge, exclusive to CTMH:
There are hearts in the cartridge, but I had a punch nearby, so I punched out the hearts.  Notice all the cool edge elements along the side of the pages.

These are almost all the images I used to create the book.  The best thing?  You set the size dial once (I used 8"), and everything comes out to scale.  You never change the dial again.

Here's a look inside the album:
I used CTMH new paper pack "Babycakes" and the coordinating cs that came with it: chocolate, slate, sunset, & colonial white.

I used some chocolate and sunset ink to distress around the edges of the pages and paper elements, but there is NO stamping in the entire book.

How cute is that colonial white overlay over the sunset page? All this book needs is some baby photos.

On this page I only glued the overlay down on three sides then added interactive tags embellished with a little grey baker's twine.

The whole album came together very quickly, and it turned out great!

Here's what comes with the Artbooking Cartridge:
The cartridge, (which includes roughly 700 images!) three coordinating D-size stamp sets, and three coordinating dimensional elements.  Click HERE to order yours from my website.

Baby Gift Toppers

I made both these gift toppers for gifts for my niece Heather's baby shower today.  The top tag has a flower made from strips of folded and layered B&T paper.  On the little 3.5" x 3.5" gift card, I stamped a hibiscus from CTMH's "Extreme Happiness" stamp set, then cut out and added a little baby stamped from CTMH's "Playday" stamp set.  The baby is colored with copic markers and attached with dimensional adhesive.

Some Random Cards

I made some random birthday, thank you, baby, and Christmas cards tonight.  here are a few of them.  They were all made with with miscellaneous supplies, and many were from "scrap candy" I had stamped, colored, and cut out that was sitting in a pile all ready to fasten to a card.

Three cards from same pattern

All three of these cards were made with the same pattern.  Most of the supplies are CTMH, but the baby and wedding stamps are SU.

Circus Baby Card

Another card with CTMH Animal Cookies B&T papers.  I learned to make the bottom ruffle from a video by the talented Tresa Black.  The giraffe is from the CTMH birthday set "Nursery Bash," but I cut off the party hat.  The letters are from the CTMH stamp set "Designer Alphabet."

More Paper-Pieced Baby Cards

Two more baby cards with the carriage from CTMH's Ms. on the Go stamp set.  The first one is made with Caboodle B&T papers, and the second one uses Sweet Home B&T papers.

Baby Cards!

The colors in this card are mostly CTMH's Juniper and Creme Brulee.  The stamp is from the set Ms. on the Go.  The original stamp has a mom pushing the carriage, but I cut the mom off.  Pearls hide the mom's hand on the handle.  There are also pearls in the wheels.  I stamped the carriage once on Colonial White CS and then again on the polka dot B&T paper.  Then I cut out and added the pieced of polka dot paper I wanted on to the carriage.  The bow and button are tied with waxy flax.  The center squares are raised, and the carriage is raised further.
This simple card is all Colonial White and Watermelon.  The white background was embossed in the Cuttlebug.  The baby stamp is from CTMH's Playtime set; the flower is from Extreme Happiness, and the sentiment is from Family--Children.  Both the baby and the sentiment are raised.

Welcome Baby Card

I used my Cuttlebug, Nestability Dies, and the stamp sets Welcome Baby, Surf's Up, and Playday. The colors are Indian Corn Blue, Sweet Leaf, and Cocoa, and the background paper is from the Emporium paper pack. The baby and umbrella are highlighted with liquid glass.
