Honeymoon in Vegas Wedding Card

I made this colorful wedding card for my niece and her fiance' who got married today and are honeymooning this weekend in Las Vegas.  The grey and blue papers are from CTMH's Dotty for You papers.  The car stamp is from SU.  The dice and "You're on a Roll" are from Studio G.  The date stamp and "celebrate" are both from CTMH.

Pemberley Mini Album

I love mini albums.  I made another envelope accordian album of the best snapshots from Jess & Neal's wedding using CTMH's Pemberley workshop on the go.

The Candy Bar

The candy bar was a big hit at Jess & Neal's wedding reception. We used assorted clear glass jars, canisters, bowls, etc. and filled them with all different kinds of colorful candies.

Each container held one kind of candy, so it was almost like a candy store.  There were little brown and white sacks for everyone to fill up to take home candy for later.

Jess & Neal were engaged at Disney World, and got to be grand marshals of the main parade that day, so it was appropriate that the candy bar have a little Disney theme.  Their "ears" from that day were displayed on top of wine glasses, and we displayed pictures from their engagement day and the parade.

Reception Tables

Another great idea Jess had for her wedding and reception:  The reception decorations were beautiful.  It was elegant, but still very simple.  The chairs and tablecloths were white.  Daisies in assorted mason jars, vases, and bottles decorated the tables, along with white candles in smaller mason jars and clear glass containers.  Some containers had a few floating daisy flowers.

Assorted sizes of unfinished wooden hearts (available at any craft store) were scattered on the tables.  Each table had a black pen, and guests wrote short notes and drew pictures on them and left them in an empty mason jar (one provided on each table) for Jess & Neal.  Jess plans to choose her favorites to make into magnets and keep the rest as keepsakes of the day.

No two tables were alike.  It was elegant, yet economical way to decorate for an outdoor summer wedding.  It was perfect!

Jess's Bouquet

Jess's bridal bouquet was GORGEOUS, and she made it herself.

Here's a close-up.  It was made entirely of origami flowers on a Styrofoam ball.

The Awesome Wedding

My daughter Jessy's wedding to Neal was AWESOME.  The weather was perfect, and everything went off without one problem.  We had so much fun.  And aren't they a great looking couple?

Tom walking her down the aisle.  Don't they both look happy?  The wedding was small, 50+ guests in a white tent with white chairs in Neal's family's home backyard. (More on her handmade bouquet in a later post.)

The reception was in our yard with maybe 150 people.  Decorations were minimal, but beautiful.  We rented a white tent with white chairs and tablecloths.  On the tables were mason jars filled with daisies and white candles.  All the lights were white.

Easy Wedding Gift Bags

I put these wedding welcome gift bags together for a friend's son's wedding.  (Nope, not Jess & Neal's wedding.)  The bags will be filled with snacks and drinks and given to wedding guests as they check into the hotel.

The bags & tissue are store-bought, but I cut the tags using CTMH's Art Philosophy cartridge for the Cricut.  Super easy/super cheap.

I added flourishes with CTMH's white daisy pigment ink.  It looks awesome on dark colors.

Then I added "Welcome" with the same ink.

I printed circles with the bride and groom's first names and wedding date.  Then I punched the circles out and glued them to the tags.

Lastly, I added a rose made again from the CTMH Art Philosophy cartridge for the Cricut.

I made forty gift bags, and they went together very simply and very quickly.

Guest Book

My friend commissioned me to make the guestbook for her son's wedding.  This is what I came up with:

The album covers are 12 x 12, and I bound it with my Bind It All.  I used some different papers, flowers, metal embellishments, adhesive pearls, punches, stamps, ribbon, and beads on the cover.

The inside pages are 8.5 x 11, with room for guests' signatures on the right and a snapshot or two of the bride and groom on the left.  All the pages have unique pictures and stamping.  You can always see the outer edges of the inside covers when the book is open.

I had to add a little red because they're big Nebraska football fans.

The back cover has a stamp that says "...and they lived happily ever after."

Jess's Wedding Shower

A few pics from Jess's first wedding shower yesterday:  None of this was my doing, but there were were lots of fun crafty touches from the hostesses--my sister Mary, my sister-in-law Sandy, and my niece Heather--like the "Mr. & Mrs." banner on the wall, the monogram cupcake picks, and the personalized water bottle lables.

Jess is holding a little "cake" made with towels and utensils that her Aunt Sandy made.
