Graduation Tassel Ornaments

Easiest Pinterest-inspired project EVER.  Cheap, fillable ornaments from the craft store ($1-$2 each), remove top and insert graduation tassel, put top back on.  Done in 5 minutes.  And, really, what else is there to do with the tassels? --and they're great memories for Christmas ornaments.  These are Jess's high school & college tassels.  The "08" wouldn't fit through the top opening, so I left it on the outside.  Either way works.

University of Iowa Graduation Layouts

Jess & Neal's college graduation scrapbooking is done!  It came together so quickly, I should have done it sooner.
The first layout is very simple, but classy:

I used a preprinted University of Iowa B&T paper I bought at my LSS.  I just added the picture of Jess & Neal in front of the Old Capitol (the photo color is better in person), a mat, and some CTMH Sparkles Flourishes.

The second page has the program, an announcement and two pictures from inside Carver Hawkeye Arena during commencement.  Again I just added mats to the photos and a CTMH Sparkles Flourish.

Here's the second layout from the day--much less formal, but still very simple:

I cut out "Iowa" with my Cricut, and cut and punched the other "Hawkeye Gold" elements with Crème Brulee cs.

I added CTMH black opaques to the letters to fancy them up a bit.

This page shows Jess & Neal having fun after the ceremony was over.  The center photo is raised with dimensional adhesive.  The sentiment "Celebrate Today" is a stamp from CTMH's new hostess set, "The Party is On."
Thanks for looking.  GO HAWKS!!!

Proud!

Our daughter Jess & son-in-law Neal graduated from college yesterday!  Here they are outside Iowa's Old Capitol on the University of Iowa's campus in Iowa City.

"She packed up her potential . . ." Graduation Card

I made this card for a friend who needed a graduation card for a woman who is graduating from med school and then heading to Africa.  I thought it worked for someone who is traveling and also wants to change the world.

The sentiment reads:  "She packed up her potential and all that she had learned, grabbed a cute pair of shoes, and headed out to change a few things."

The luggage is from SU, the graduation cap (Class of stamp set), bottom right flourish (Live Inspired stamp set), and shoe (Find Your Style stamp set) are from CTMH.  The upper right flowers are from Tim Holtz.  I found the sentiment on line and printed on cs.  Colors are CTMH's pansy purple and outdoor denim.

The inside is made with the Express Postage stamp set from CTMH.

Easel Graduation Card

This easel card was made for a graduation, but it would be appropriate for any "congrats" occasion.  I used the CTMH stamp set Butterfly Kisses.  A judge I work with thought the three white brads holding the easel in place were aspirin I glued down.  Then he suggested I make an over the hill card and glue on Viagra pills...

Orange and Black Graduation Cards

A friend asked me to make a bunch of graduation cards for her son's classmates.  The school colors are orange and black (obviously), and most of the cards reflect the graduates' interests.
