Hotel St. Marie Layout with Skylark

This simple layout is of the inside and courtyard at our hotel in New Orleans, the Hotel St. Marie (on Toulouse less than a block off Bourbon).

I used CTMH's paper pack Skylark to complement both the New Orleans style architecture of the outside of the hotel and the greenery in the courtyard by the pool.  I handwrote "Hotel St. Marie" in the space already provided on the B&T paper with a blue colored pencil.  "Pool boy" was stamped in CTMH Lagoon ink with the "You Are My Happy" alphabet stamp set.
The palm trees were cut with my Cricut using the CTMH Artbooking cartridge.  I used CTMH watercolor pencils to give the palms and trunks a little shading.
The banner at the upper right is from Idea-ology (?I think?).

Cricut Artbooking Birthday Layout

I finally tried my CTMH Artbooking Cricut cartridge for a layout.  I put this sample layout together very quickly and it was super simple.

The Artbooking cartridge has prepared layouts, and as long as you keep the size the same, everything fits together.  These photos don't do this layout justice--the background is actually a bright lime green, but it's showing up yellow with the camera flash.

I just did the bare minimum for this sample layout.  If I added photos, I'd do some more embellishment to match them.  I'm more of a hands-on, no plans scrapper, but to put layouts together quickly, I can see this would be an easy way for some really cute scrapbooks.

Christmas Mini Album with CTMH Artbooking

CTMH's newest Cricut cartridge, "Artbooking" makes mini albums so simple.  I made this Christmas album today with only 13 pieces of card stock and had lots left over.  Other than the cs, I used glue, a corner rounder punch, some rings for the binding, and a little ribbon.  That's it.  No stamping, no distressing, no embellishments.  How easy is that?  Of course, you could add many "extras" to the album, but I wanted to show you how cute it is in its simplest form.

I cut a few photo mats like the yellow one here with some of my extra cs.

The cute little ornament on the left and the overlay on the right are some of the cuts that really make this book festive.  I also love how the words December (on the right) and Christmas (on the cover) flow off the pages.

I used all CTMH cs:  Colonial White, Ruby, New England Ivy, Outdoor Denim, Indian Corn Blue, and Buttercup.

Some of the pages are about half-size, for a little interest/variety.

More cuts and another small page tucked between larger pages.

The last page.  I love the ornament overlay!

All of the pages and images for the book were cut from pages 56 and 57 of the CTMH Cricut Artbooking cartridge directory.  I chose 8.5" as my album size, and as long as everything is cut with that size, everything cuts to scale.  I only used two buttons--one for the images on p. 56 and one for p. 57.  I just had to choose title, photo mat (pages), icon, border, or overlay and the shift key.  Simple and all ready to add photos or give as a gift.

Seattle Dream Pop Layout

When I started this layout, I had every intention of using one of CTMH's new paper packs (because I'm supposed to be selling that, right?), but in my mind the now unavailable Dream Pop papers just kept calling.  That's how it goes sometimes, and that's exactly why I'm a hobbyist and not a full-time CTMH consultant.  I create what makes me happy with whatever supplies I choose.
Back to the layout:
These are pictures from our recent road trip to Seattle from Iowa to visit new Seattle residents Jess & Neal.
I'm actually starting to use my Cricut more, and this layout has several Cricut elements and NO stamping.
The filmstrip is from CTMH's Cricut Artiste cartridge.  It makes a great accent or collage piece.  The strips in the upper right are zip strips from the edges of the Dream Pop B&T paper.  I edged each strip, the photo mats, and the layout in CTMH Slate ink.
"Seattle" is made from the old "George" Cricut cartridge that came with many of our first Cricut machines.  I still like the font.  I used black cs for the shadow and B&T paper from Dream Pop on top.
The cute little camera is made with CTMH's newest exclusive Cricut Cartridge, Artbooking.  I used Slate cs for the outline and a Dream Pop B&T paper for the background.  I edged the Slate cs with Slate ink.
The easiest way I've found to edge smaller cutouts like those made with the Cricut is with a makeup applicator.  Works like a charm and is super cheap.

Here's another look at the finished layout:
Thanks for looking, and feel free to share on Pinterest!

Baby Mini Album with CTMH Cricut Artbooking Cartridge

I made this cute mini baby album almost exclusively with the new Cricut Artbooking cartridge, exclusive to CTMH:
There are hearts in the cartridge, but I had a punch nearby, so I punched out the hearts.  Notice all the cool edge elements along the side of the pages.

These are almost all the images I used to create the book.  The best thing?  You set the size dial once (I used 8"), and everything comes out to scale.  You never change the dial again.

Here's a look inside the album:
I used CTMH new paper pack "Babycakes" and the coordinating cs that came with it: chocolate, slate, sunset, & colonial white.

I used some chocolate and sunset ink to distress around the edges of the pages and paper elements, but there is NO stamping in the entire book.

How cute is that colonial white overlay over the sunset page? All this book needs is some baby photos.

On this page I only glued the overlay down on three sides then added interactive tags embellished with a little grey baker's twine.

The whole album came together very quickly, and it turned out great!

Here's what comes with the Artbooking Cartridge:
The cartridge, (which includes roughly 700 images!) three coordinating D-size stamp sets, and three coordinating dimensional elements.  Click HERE to order yours from my website.
