 Layout from Animal Kingdom

This layout was purely for me. it was taken in Animal Kingdom at Donald's Dino-Bash statue. The pictures aren't great because the kids are looking directly into the sun. My journaling (handwritten) reminds me that the kids were so good to pose for all the pictures (probably hundreds between me, their mom, and Disney photographers) while we spent the week at Disney World--even when the sun was in their eyes. I made the whole page sunny themed with various papers and cardstock. The sunbeams at the top were cut freehand and tucked under the patterned paper for the sunburst. I added Nuvo Drops in the center of the bottom sun and at the inner areas of the sunbeams.

Scrooge McDuck Layout

 Another Character Greeting for Shae

One more character that I'm sure Shae has no idea who they are--at least I know this one. Don't worry: I didn't use the picture, but of course she gave him a hug too. This layout is simple. I went with the black and white theme for the "scrooge"/old money feeling. "Shae" is done with alphabet stickers. The patterned paper and photo corners are retired CTMH. The man in the top hat is from Tim Holtz. I thought he looked like he might be a scrooge too. There are silver Nuvo Drops along the horizontal paper, around Shae's name, and between the bottom of the page and the horizontal paper on the bottom left.

Daisy Duck Layout

 Shae Hamming It Up with Another Character

This is just a "cute" layout of Shae and Daisy Duck. Shae was really posing for this one. The papers are retired CTMH, the flowers are incredibly old, and the hearts are punched out from white cardstock that was embossed with my Cuttlebug.

Launchpad McQuack Layout

Who is Launchpad McQuack anyway?

Shae never missed an opportunity to meet a character, and who were we to say no? She had no idea who Launchpad McQuack was, and I have no idea either.

Because he seems to be a classic aviator, I used papers from Authentique's "Explore" 6x6 paper pad and DCWV's 8x8 paper pad "Maps, Text & Ledgers." I'm not sure where the strip of stars came from. The brown chip board embellishments are all at least ten years old. And, of course, there are a few Nuvo Drops (white) here and there.

Dinosaur Layout

NOT Finn's Favorite Ride

Dinosaur was just too dark and too loud for Finn. The papers I used are from CTMH. In the Disney ride photo, I enlarged the part that had Jess holding her hand over Finn's eyes and stuck it with dimensional adhesive right over the same smaller photo, because that really tells the whole story.

Animal Kingdom

 Photo Op in The Boneyard

This is a super simple one-page, one-photo layout from Dinoland USA's Boneyard in Animal Kingdom. The pictures of both kids together postng were kind of rare, and this is one of my favorites.  The background paper and the "Discover" sticker were leftovers from a long-ago Disney World vacation. I added the accounting worksheet paper, used Thickers for the title, and hand wrote the journaling. The paper was kind of bright, so adding the worksheet really made the layout match the photo better.
